Whenever you are packing for a weekend getaway or quick international trip, there are items that we always seem to forget but of course remember when we’re already at the airport and can’t go back. I know I’ve done this several time so you’re not alone. The one thing that has worked for me lately that I would love to share is a packing checklist. This packing list is designated for short trips and provides a basic outline of essential items for your carry-on and tote bag, which is a great way to get organized before your trip.
Also making sure you do not over pack which always seems to happen. Just think if you plan it right it is less to unpack when you get home. Trust me I know I’m still looking at my carry-on on the floor in my room that I still have yet to unpack because of the amount of unnecessary items I packed. With packing less and strategically you will be able to pack souvenirs to bring back from your trip.
Check out our Ultimate Packing Checklist that is great to have for long weekends and quick trips! At the bottom you can save the checklist and/or get the PDF version.
Dresses (dressy and casual)
Dressy Heels – never know where you might end up going, so you always have to be prepared
Flip flops – I always take flip flops with me just incase I need it for the shower, just incase it is not as clean.
Fitbit(workout tracker) – when you’re trying to stay fit on the go
Skin Care product
Make Up remover
First Aid Kit
Shower Cap – since I’ve gone natural is have been very important to me. Can’t go without this
Birth Control (if needed of course)
Perfume – always have to smell good
Contacts/ case – if you don’t want to wear your glasses the entire time then this is a good alternative.
Camera accessories – if you’re a blogger you need all your equipment to get that perfect shot
USB – Never forget this and if don’t have one I say go out and buy it. You never know when your memory card, phone or laptop is going to run out of storage.
Memory Card – I would always take a back up just in case you didn’t remember to delete most of your pictures off your Camera and/or GoPro
Passport/Visa – This should be the FIRST thing that you pack. Don’t wait last minute and almost miss your flight.
Wallet – Should include your ID, credit cards, cash etc.
Notepad/ Pen – I get a lot of my thoughts out when i’m flying, so it’s always good to have this handy so I don’t forget anything
Book – If you can’t sleep this is the best way to keep yourself busy and stimulate your brain
Empty Water Bottle
Travel Pillow – Best way to stay comfortable on short or long flights
