Why Must Haves for Festivals Will Change Your Life?

We have been to quite a few EDM festivals and believe these must have items are essential to a better experience. Why Must Haves for Festivals Will Change Your Life?

  1. Fanny pack
    • I rather not carry around a huge backpack, it will tire you out and it’s waste of space. If you just have a few small items that you want to bring with you, a fanny pack would be the best option
  2. Sunglasses
    • You have to protect your eyes, depending on the weather. If it is nice and sunny outside it would be a good idea to take some shades
  3. Sunscreen
    • You definitely want to take a small travel size of sunscreen, or you will regret it. Does not matter what skin tone you are, applying sunscreen is important when you’re out in the sun.
  4. Poncho
    • You never know if the weather might change, so always pack a small poncho. Even if the festival provides them, it’s best to have your own just in case they run out.
  5. Toiletry wipes (wet wipes)
    • Of course festivals can be gross and they might run out of toilet paper. Try to keep yourself clean by bringing a couple packages.
    1. Ziplock bag
      • If you don’t have a waterproof case, zip lock bags are always an alternative.
    2. Comfortable shoes
      • There is a lot of walking, jumping and standing around. Comfortable shoes are always a necessity. You do not want to be in pain when you’re trying to have fun. You can end up getting blisters, corns etc.
    3. Portable charger
      • You know you’re going to want to Snapchat your experience to all your friends. Not only does that drain your battery, but so does heat and cell service during a large event. Make sure it’s fully charged before leaving the house.
    4. Ticket
      • If they sent you a ticket or you had to print one out, this should be the first thing you put in your fanny pack. If you don’t have your ticket you will not get in.
    5. Small snack
      • Festival prices can be a bit expensive. Bringing a snack with you can save you some money than buying something small that might cost 5- 10 dollars.
    6. Lip balm/ lip stick
      • You don’t want crapped lips! And plus you will never know, you might meet your festival bae.

    Enjoy the Festival!

It is also important to have your ID and credit card (cash) when you go to raves. Some events are 18+ or 21+, so you have to show your ID to be able to be admitted inside the venue. Also, be sure to have money to purchase things inside the venue or to get a cab back home after the event in case you feel a little tired of the event.

Yes exactly! That is a great tip to add in there. Thank you!

Curious how this changes for an event like EDC in Vegas. Poncho is probably not needed, but I wonder what else might be added to this list.

Hi Kyle! You’re absolutely correct. Some festivals, depending on location, do not require bringing certain items. It’s more of a just in case – you’d be surprised. Let us know what else should be included and we’ll add it to the next list. 😊
