Meeru Island Resort & Spa is surrounded by a beautiful lagoon and white sandy beach. This Resort is the only one on the island of Meerufenfushi in The Maldives.
We stayed at the Jacuzzi Water Villa and choose the Full Board instead of All-inclusive. The room was beautiful, spacious and had an AMAZING view. Majority of the guests pick the All-Inclusive package and for good reason. It includes all you can drink alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages – all day and night, one Sunset Cruise, one 1/2 hour Group Snorkelling Lesson, Free Yoga Session and more.
So why did we go for the Full Board option instead? Well, we thought Full Board excluded only alcoholic, but we quickly realized (once it was too late) it also excluded non-alcoholic beverages and the activities I provided above.
Of course knowing this now and reviewing the price difference, I would recommend purchasing the All inclusive package – more money but worth it.

Our top issue: It took the front desk/ IT Team a while to fix the WiFi as it wasn’t working and I was having a hard time connecting to my account. However, it didn’t bother me one bit. I was in Maldives, why would I need WiFi right?
Overall: I loved my stay at Meeru Island Resort & Spa and look forward to going back to Maldives!
Though I wasn’t able to fully enjoy the trip because I got food poisoning before arriving, so I spent most of my days crawled up on the balcony and sometimes on the beach. Make sure to stay hydrated because it was scorching during the time we were there.
