Kaleidoscope Cave Houses, located in Oia, Santorini provides a stunning view overlooking the water and a unique experience. Who wouldn’t want to experience living in a cave house for a few days?
Kaleidoscope Cave Houses doesn’t have a front desk, so you would have to call ahead to have someone escort you to your room. Our host was Mario, who was very helpful. He had information about the different tours, how to rent ATVs and where the bus stops were located. We communicated through WhatsApp messenger if we need anything from him.
The cave houses were minutes away from the Naval Museum and Oia Castle, where you can experience the best sunsets in the world.
They provided a complimentary breakfast each morning between 8:30 AM and 10 AM right to your doorstep. They also had free Wi-Fi, red wine, water, bathrobes and slippers.
September is still a busy time, so the prices for the hotel were a little steep. We paid $316.67/night for 2 nights, but I would advise to book in advance and not wait last-minute like us.
The room was beautiful, but the only downside was not having access to a front desk attendant.
Our top issues: I woke up to ants all over the bed and on me. Yes, don’t leave your wine out for too long!
The jacuzzi wasn’t working at first and it took someone over an hour to come check it out
Our host Mario was great, but it took him a little while to respond to our texts
Overall: I loved my stay at Kaleidoscope Cave Houses and look forward to going back to Santorini!
